Kacey Legnitto, MS, RD, CEDS-C

Register Dietitian, Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and Supervisor, and Intuitive Eating Counselor,

and Family Feeding Specialist

About Me

Hi, I’m Kacey.

I work with individuals of all ages, caregivers, and families to foster a peaceful, values-aligned relationship with food and body—one that’s rooted in each person’s internal wisdom.

My private practice is based in Petaluma, CA, where I offer both in-person and virtual sessions. I have 10+ years of experience specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, disordered eating, chronic dieting, family feeding dynamics, and supporting parents in raising attuned and confident eaters.

I believe there’s no one-size-fits-all way to relate to food and body. Our experiences with nourishment are deeply personal—shaped by emotion, identity, culture, and lived experience. I offer a compassionate, inclusive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore these complex relationships.

My work is grounded in a weight-inclusive, anti-oppression, and Intuitive Eating-informed lens. I support clients in reconnecting with their internal cues, and guide them toward caring for themselves in ways that feel freeing, attuned, joyful, and uniquely their own.

The following credentials reflect both my clinical training and my deep commitment to ongoing learning and growth in this work.

  • Registered Dietitian

  • Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian (CEDRD)

  • IAEDP Approved Supervisor

  • Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor

Note on my work with families -

As a parent myself, I understand how personal and layered feeding can be—especially when navigating your own relationship with food while raising children. I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my work with families.

Parents today are bombarded with conflicting advice about how to feed their kids. It can feel overwhelming, confusing, and pressure-filled. I support parents in cutting through that noise by offering evidence-based guidance grounded in each family’s unique culture, values, and needs. My goal is to empower families to raise children who trust and listen to their own bodies—kids who feel safe, confident, and joyful in their own, unique relationship with food.

Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family as a whole, I’m here to walk alongside you with care, curiosity, and compassion.
